Nothing quite says something than to have Jesus and Buddha being best friends. This is from Saint Young Men, a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Hikaru Nakamura, who previously created Arakawa Under the Bridge. The basic gist of the plot is that Jesus and Buddha, founders of major religions (if you didn’t know that) are taking a vacation from their spiritual duties and living together as roommates in a Tokyo apartment. It includes a lot of jokes about the two religions and anything related with the two as well their attempts to keep their identities hidden and understand modern Japanese society. It’s an interesting read if you’re not insulted by seeing two major religious figures having comedic hijinks all over Tokyo.
I can hope that one day, this manga will be adapted into an anime.
